Is it really working for the good?

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Yes! And when you are in the middle of a great tragedy, trial, failure and or time of uncertainty it can be so hard to see what the ending will be like. There are two key things about this verse that help us to come to a point of hope. And we must take inventory and ask ourselves these questions.

1. Do we really love God? Matthew 22:37 says “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ If we really love God then He honors our affection towards Him.

2. Are we called according to His purpose? John 15:16 says, You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This means as believers we are chosen people, a blessed people and God wants us to have everything that we need to fulfill His purpose in our lives.

We must face the fact that what we see in the present is not what He sees for our future. This requires us to face each opportunity with a healthy dose of faith. And what does the bible say about faith? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

So many times once we get through the things that we never thought would pass we begin to see God’s perfect intent over our lives and we say “ Awww I get it now! It all makes sense! “

Press in! Press on! And Press through! God will make a way when it seems there is no way! And regardless of what you are seeing, it is working for good to them that love God!
