On March 7th on a beautiful crisp day in middle Tennessee my wife and I were walking around downtown Franklin. She and I had been in intense prayer over what was next for us and in our journey in our calling of storytelling and filmmaking.
For months our prayer team had been given specific prayer requests and God had been answering each of those needs. But on this morning, it was our third time coming and praying over something very specific that God had laid on our hearts many months earlier.
And after praying within just a few moments my wife catches my attention with tears in her eyes and says “ Read this! “It read “ Keep pressing into Him, He has not forsaken you! You are not alone, your breakthrough is coming! Trust Him! “ I began to cry with her. You see there was an encouragement box on the street corner filled with random notes. And on that day, the note was not random. We needed to hear from God because we were at a crossroads.
I pray that sometime we get to thank the person that left us a note on that day. That note gave us a little more wind to keep sailing toward the calling. We have since gone back and placed notes of encouragement in that same box encouraging others as were we. I have seen God move in others, we are seeing God move in us as individual believers and we pray that we get to see God move in the next generation through the efforts of so many in creating these stories of hope. Be encouraged today, encourage others in their walk you never know how much an act of obedience can have on someone else’s life.
I sought the LORD, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalms 34
