" Lair! Lair !"

Have you ever been talking to someone and they embellish a story that they are sharing with you? And down deep in your heart you know that what they are saying has no truth whatsoever. But yet they continue on, and sometimes they believe the lie that they are telling you is the absolute truth. And you know from a first hand experience the opposite has taken place.

What happens next? Well for most, everytime we see these people we will form an opinion of them and lose confidence and trust in what they are saying and who they are. The sad reality is most people do not trust the news, social media, politicians, maybe a spouse, boyfriends/girlfriends, friends and maybe even family etc. based upon what they have seen in the past because the lie did not match up with the truth.

So for many people they will become withdrawn because what they trust in, is in fact a lie. But I want to share with you today a scripture of hope to regain your confidence and it comes from Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.

There is an eternal hope in Jesus Christ today. What He says in His Word and by His actions we know in every detail the truth can be found. And you can rest on the facts in what He says that it can be taken in full confidence in being the unfailable truth.

Here are the facts: A perfect world was shattered in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve committed the first acts of sin. Death was certain for every person born from that day on. We could not save ourselves so a sacrifice would have to be made and that was Jesus. He was born of a virgin woman, lived a perfect life, then He was sentenced to death after no fault could be found in him. He carried a cross bearing our sins and shame to a place called Golgotha. There He cried “ It is finished! “ and gave up his life so that you and I could have life and have it more abundantly. He was laid in a borrowed tomb for 3 days and then He arose victorious over death, hell and the grave and today He sits at the right hand of the father making intercession for you and me!

Place your trust today in this Savior today. Because He knows your past, present and future and if you are bound down by distrust and have lost your freedom, freedom can still be found!

Do you know this freedom?

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
